The Commission Chairperson, Ms Moana Weir, welcomes today's announcement by Attorney-General Martin Pakula of the appointment of Rebecca Dabbs to the Commission's Board.
"Rebecca brings stellar skills and professional experience to the Commission,” Ms Weir said.
"I look forward to working with her to achieve the Commission's vision for a fair, safe and inclusive Victoria where every person is respected and treated with dignity," Ms Weir said.
Rebecca is a Partner at Ernst & Young in the Climate Change and Sustainability Services team, working on sustainability and health, safety and environment engagements.
Prior to becoming a partner in 2016, she worked as a Sustainability consultant and a Chartered Accountant for Ernst & Young. She has also spent some time as a Chartered Accountant for BNP Paribas in London.
Rebecca was a board member of Cambodian Kids Can, a charity that supports children’s welfare, education and community projects in Cambodia, from 2014–17. She was a board member and the finance committee chair of the Norman Wettenhall Foundation, an environmental foundation, from 2011–14.
Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commissioner Kristen Hilton welcomed Ms Dabbs’ appointment.
