LIV Charter Case Audit now available online

The Law Institute of Victoria has launched a searchable database of 336 Victorian decisions involving the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities 2006.

The Charter Case Audit covers 22 areas of law and contains information on court and tribunal decisions involving the Charter decided between 26 September 2006 and 31 December 2014.

The Charter Case Audit is a useful online research tool, providing information on the underlying cause of action in each case, the Charter arguments raised and who raised them, whether the Charter argument was upheld and a summary of the final decision.

It provides links to the full case and where available, case notes by the Human Rights Law Centre and intervention submissions by the Commission.
