Goulburn Murray Footy League set to kick goals for Report Racism

The Goulburn Murray Australian Football League is throwing its support behind one of the Commission's projects by holding a Report Racism-themed round on 18 July 2015.

The league will help spread the message that ‘Racism is not ok!’ by introducing the project before kick-off at each of the six games. Umpires will show their support by wearing Report Racism branded t shirts.

The Commission will be attending the Shepparton Swans v Kyabram match at Princes Park in Shepparton where the two teams, both of whom are currently in the top four, are expected to draw a crowd of thousands.

Shepparton is also home to three local reporting places. The Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service, Rumbalara Justice Services and Goulburn Valley Community Legal Centre have joined Report Racism to allow community members to report to organisations or individuals they know and trust.

Spectators are invited to visit the Commission’s stall at the match where staff will be handing out information and free Report Racism drink bottles.
