Eight-year Charter Review - Summary of submission, recommendation and position statements available

In order to enhance its effectiveness and relevance, Victoria’s Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities requires a review after four years of operation and again after eight years.

The current eight year review is being conducted by independent reviewer Michael Brett Young, former CEO of the Law Institute of Victoria and managing partner at Maurice Blackburn. Mr Brett Young is due to report to the Attorney–General by September 1, 2015.
