Nominations open for the 2016 Victorian Honour Roll of Women

If you know an inspirational woman who you think deserves recognition for her contribution, leadership and achievements, please nominate her today.

Since its commencement in 2001, the Victorian Honour Roll of Women has acknowledged and celebrated the outstanding achievements of 562 Victorian women.

Inductees have contributed to lasting change in Victoria, Australia and the world, in many fields of endeavour.

Categories for the 2016 awards are:

  • Arts/Media
  • Government
  • Police/Emergency Services
  • Business Industry
  • Human Rights/Law
  • Prevention of Family Violence
  • Community Advocacy
  • Health
  • Rural/Regional
  • Education
  • Indigenous Affairs
  • Science/Research/Engineering
  • Environment
  • Justice/Corrections
  • Sport/Recreation
  • Disability
  • Planning/Architecture

The successful nominees will be inducted at a special event held in March 2016, to coincide with International Women's Day celebrations.

You can nominate any exceptional women who have made a significant and lasting contribution at a local, state, national or international level.

Nominees must be either born in Victoria, have spent a considerable part of their life in Victoria, or have made a significant contribution to Victoria.

Nominations are open until 5pm Friday 21 August 2015.
