What makes an ally? youth project launch, 17 November 2014

Transgender Victoria and YGender have joined forces to launch the 'What Makes an Ally?' youth project, created to foster healthy relationships between trans and gender diverse young people and their allies.

The project launch will premiere and showcase the short film, posters and resources that young people across regional and urban Victoria have created. Speakers at the event will include young people who have participated in the project.

Transgender Victoria and YGender have worked with local government, youth mental health services, secondary schools, anti bullying organisations and community organisations to enable young people to take a lead role in developing the project. The materials being launched came out of engaging youth identifying as gender diverse and supporters at workshops in Geelong, Bendigo, Frankston, Warrnambool and Melbourne.

Join guests and friends for the project launch and refreshments at 5pm, Monday 17th November at Drummond Street Services located at 100 Drummond Street, Carlton.
