Workers across government engage with human rights every day and have legal obligations to take human rights into account. It's important that workers have the skills and understanding to act consistently with human rights.
The VPS Human Rights Network aims to provide information, ideas and networking opportunities to public sector employees who are interested in applying human rights in their work. Members of the network receive email updates, invites to events and resources to assist public decision-making.
All public sector workers with an interest in human rights can join – whether you're from state government, statutory agencies, local government, or other organisations delivering public services who have obligations under the Charter. Human rights does not have to be part of your job description for you to participate.
