The Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities: online learning modules
Our online education modules introduces you to the Charter and your obligations, and develops your awareness of the benefits of embedding a culture of human rights in your work.
Overview
We can be proud that Victoria has taken a leadership role in protecting and promoting human rights. Everyone working for a public authority has a part to play in embedding a human rights culture into our everyday work to ensure better outcomes for Victorian communities.
If you are a Victorian public sector or local government staff member, you have obligations under the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities (the Charter). Human Rights are also a VPS value and component of a best practice Council Staff Code of Conduct, and there is an expectation that you understand the Charter as part of your role.
